Amanda, 34, a teacher in fashion designing school, has tried a lot for saving her relationship with Thomas, a banker. Amada argues: I have been open-minded, honest and constantly trying to keep the relationship alive. She honestly believes that she could have done no better than what she was doing. She vehemently asks that why Thomas had not made any efforts from his side.
Such a situation can happen when both partners/spouses are trying to find the solution on their own ways, in their own manner and style. They are perhaps the victims of the pattern of not listening to each other. Such conflict is common in relationships, and it can be set right only finding a rational way. The spouses might be attempting seriously for rescuing their relationship, but about the problems they might be doing guesswork and then trying to shoot the problem.
Here lies the blunder. : Avoid any guesswork and go straight to the core. Ask your partner what she/he thinks on the issues leading to dispute.
